2008 State Championship
Cincinnati St. Ursula defeated the Lady Mustangs 1-0 to win the State crown. The dangerous Lady Bulldogs were held to only a few shots, while the Lady Stangs narrowly missed on several scoring chances.
Strongsville v Shaker Heights
Strongsville won a thrilling overtime game 2-1 to reach the State finals for the second consecutive year. Danielle Hubka gave the Lady Stangs a 1-0 lead after weaving through a number of Shaker defenders. The Lady Red Raiders tied the score with 14 seconds left sending the game to overtime. Sara Henderson won the game with a header into the corner of the goal.
Strongsville v Sylvania Northview
Nicole Wood made several outstanding saves to hold Sylvania in check, until Katie Peterlin chipped in a goal early in the second half. Paige Langhals and Danielle Hubka knocked home penalty kicks to give the Lady Mustangs a 3-0 win to take the Regional Championship.
Strongsville v Westlake
The Lady Mustangs continued their playoff run by defeating the Lady Demons 2-0 to win a Regional semi-final game. Nicole Wood and the defense pitched yet another shutout. Katie Peterlin and Danielle Hubka found the net for Strongsville.
Strongsville v Medina2
The Lady Mustangs defeated the #1 ranked team in the State of Ohio 2-0 in District semi-final action at Medina. Danielle Hubka and Megan Giesen took care of the scoring, while a stout defense allowed a limited number of chances for the Lady Bees.
Strongsville v Columbus DeSales
Sara Henderson and freshman Allie Sender scored for the Lady Stangs leading the way to a hard fought 2-0 victory. Nicole Wood and the Strongsville defense notched the 10th shutout of the season.
